Can I Get a Rental Car?

Hi, this is Lucas Foust from Foust Law Office, and I'm here to answer another quick question. And I normally receive this question, a quick question, from people who have been in a car crash whose vehicle has been damaged or destroyed as a result of that car crash.

The question they have is whether they could receive a rental car while they're waiting for the repairs on their vehicle. And the answer to that is yes, absolutely. If you've been in a car crash and you require a rental car to go to and from work or use as you need to, you are entitled to a rental car under your own insurance agreement as well as the other party's insurance agreement as well. Sometimes it takes a little while, a couple of phone calls to get your rental car, but you have an absolute right to have a rental car anytime that you're involved in a car crash and it's not your fault.
