Watch This Video Before You Sign Anything
Lucas Foust:
Hi, this is Lucas Foust from Foust Law Office and I'm here to answer a quick question. And this is a quick question that I receive from people who have been in a car crash and are curious if they should sign the documents they've been provided by the insurance company, or if they should sign an attorney contract with an attorney whom they've consulted with. Well my answer to that question is hold on, hold your horses in both instances, and let me explain why.
Lucas Foust:
First you do not have any obligation to sign any insurance documents or any documents sent by an insurance company. Before you do that, I strongly encourage you to download our book, Abandoned on the Road: A Guide to Insurance Law in Montana. Take a look and answer some of those questions before you get involved with an insurance company. I also strongly encourage you to download a copy of the book and contact my office before you ever make a statement to an insurance adjuster. Finally, before you sign a contract with any plaintiff's personal injury attorney, I highly recommend you download a copy of our report, 10 questions you must ask a personal injury attorney, before you sign their contract. All of this information is available on our website, it's available in our book, Abandoned on the Road: A Guide to Insurance Law in Montana, and at Foust Law Office we truly believe that an informed client is a better client.
