How do I pay medical bills after a car accident in Montana?
Hi, I'm Lucas Foust at Foust Law Office and I'm here to answer a quick question and this quick question, it comes from people who have recently been involved in an automobile crash. It's usually the first question I get when someone comes into my office. They simply want to know, how do I pay my medical bills?

Well, in Montana, there are three main sources to begin paying and making payments on your medical bill. Your own health insurance, medical pay, and the other car and I'll talk about each of these real briefly.

As I suggest in another video, I encourage you to submit all of your medical bills to your own health insurance coverage. I also encourage you to gather your medical bills and submit those bills under the medical pay portion of your own insurance policy. And finally, I encourage you to submit all of your medical bills to the other parties insurance company.

Under Montana law, if liability is reasonably clear and the medical bills are reasonably related to the automobile collision, then that other car, the other car's insurance company, is obligated to pay you for all of those medical bills before you reach any kind of settlement.
