What should I bring to my first meeting with an attorney?

Lucas Foust:
Hi, this is Lucas Foust from Foust Law Office and I'm here to answer another quick question. This quick question has to do with what I should bring with me when I come to my first office appointment with an attorney? I get this question a lot and it's important that you know what to bring with you when you decide to have your initial consultation with an attorney that you're considering hiring. I recommend that people bring a number of things and those things are listed more specifically in my book, Abandoned on the Road: A Guide to Insurance Law in Montana.

Lucas Foust:
First of all, I recommend that you bring any photographs of the car crash scene that you might have available. I also ask that you bring or consider bringing any insurance car and health insurance information that you might have available concerning your coverage. I also ask that you bring the declaration sheet and finally, I ask that you bring a copy of your insurance policy. If you do not have a copy of the declaration sheet or the insurance policy readily available, you can contact your insurance agent and they'll provide a copy to you.

Lucas Foust:
Again, there's a much more extensive list of items to bring in my book, Abandoned on the Road. I recommend that you download the book and if you have any further questions, feel free to call my office. As we say at Foust Law Office, we believe an informed client is a better client.
